The inspiration for Collection Skye, Bruce Andrews Design’s initial offering, originated in a gentleman’s study set within a manor house on the Isle of Skye. All of the frames in Collection Skye are made of Grade  A, FSC-certified kiln-dried maple; and all upholstery pieces are stabilized with steel corrugated straps encased in cardboard and ply grips to hold the strapping to the frame to prevent sagging. Hand-knotted, eight-way handtied spring decks are stabilized with steel rods in most of our upholstery pieces.

During the summer months, the hillsides are swathed in a full spectrum of greens, vibrantly ablaze with hints of fiery red and golden yellow. By late winter, the sky breathes its bracing coolness to birth fog-shrouded mornings that serve as harbingers of spring. Individually wrapped American-made cotton springs are also part of the infrastructure of Collection Skye, each encased in down. Cushions are crowned in a 95/5 down/feather blend. Custom finishes are available on most pieces and production time runs 12 to 14 weeks. The gracious lines of these wingbacks can be made contemporary or traditional depending upon the fabrics chosen, the finish on the wood and the varying styles of turned legs, many capped with fashionable ferrules.
