Our Favorite Titles Get a Bookmark
This list is a long one given the number of gorgeous specimens being published today, and our survey reads like a who’s who of the design world. We’ve delved into the Rizzoli monograph featuring the oeuvre of French designer François Catroux and come away appreciating his brand of grand coziness, as Diane von Furstenberg called it in her foreword to the book.
Carlos Mota’s A Touch of Style is a big, bold testament to his work and his personality. The book proves he knows how to conjure up beauty in a hurricane of challenged taste that our world can subject us to simply because he has what it takes. I see Michele Bönan’s point of view, shown so beautifully in The Gentleman of Style, as in keeping with the times—to be timeless, executing the vision that gives each design its varied identity.
