Unparalleled quality personifies the Dune Collection with frames made of Grade A, FSC-certified kiln-dried maple. All upholstery pieces are stabilized with steel corrugated straps encased in cardboard and ply grips to hold the strapping to the frame to prevent sagging. Hand-knotted, eight-way handtied spring decks are stabilized with steel rods in most of the upholstery pieces in this collection. Individually wrapped American-made cotton springs are also part of the infrastructure, each encased in down. Cushions are crowned in a 95/5 down/feather blend. Custom finishes are available on most pieces and production time runs 12 to 14 weeks.

[title type=”” size=”h3″ style=”” bigletter=”” alignment=”left”]The Ghana Coffee Table[/title]
The kernels of corn grown in Africa have a voluptuousness to them, a difference in shape from the native corn of other countries like the United States. Everywhere there are dimensions that illustrate the sensual distinctiveness of the African continent such as the Ghana coffee table, which was designed to evoke the roundness of these kernels. Made of acrylic crushed agate that has been treated to an aged cream finish, the table’s interior cut-out has been treated to a gold leaf appliqué and its lower third has been carved in a corn pattern that fades to mimic chaff blowing in the wind.

[title type=”” size=”h3″ style=”” bigletter=”” alignment=”left”]The Kalahari Ottoman[/title]
The shapes and forms of Africa have grown out of long traditions and a unique landscape: from water pouches carried for long distances over steaming mounds by the Hottentots to the sweep of indigo seas as seen from Cape Peninsula at twilight. The almost creature-esque shape of the Kalahari ottoman reflects the country’s uncommon traits, as do the materials that set it apart: namely onyx leather and rubbed African mahogany, the finish meant to read as if the wood has been treated with Tung oil.
